Inexpensive, Grasslin timers have many uses in your grow room. While there are many other cheaper timers available, the Grasslin Segmental Timers are renound in the industry for keeping time accurately and lasting a life time. They are mainly used with relays to control lighting periods or with pumps to control irrigation.

A major problem with hydroponic lighting is timer failure. Household timers bought from hardware stores are simply not designed to handle the (inductive) power loads of hydroponic lighting. The solution is to buy a PowerStar controller. You still need a 24-hour mechanical (household) timer however the power goes through the controllerand not your timer. The role of the timer in this is to turn your controller on and off which then turns your lights on and off. There is no wiring to do with any of our contactors - you just plug and grow.

Specifically designed for horticultural use, these high powered ultra-reliable PowerStar Controllers include a timer, and are great for any light combination up to 6kW. Controllers are relays for your ballasts, ensuring they don't burn out your timers (dangerous if you or the plants get burnt!). Complete with an 8-way 3-pin plug outlet for the ballast to be connected to, simply connect the feed cable to the mains (hard wired by a qualified electrician) and you are ready to go.
